The VMA Showdown That Made Headlines and Divided Fans!

    As Swift was rising to fame she was hit with a worldwide incident that left everyone in shock. In 2009, at the VMAS in September 19-year-old Taylor Swift received an award for "Best Female Video Category" and was cut short in her speech by Kanye West. What happened that night was an incident that no 19-year-old girl should ever have to go through. He did it because he could, he knew the vulnerability she had and he knew she wasn't going to stop him. I'm discussing this because when you succeed that quickly, that many amount of times, you are bound to run into Kanye's everywhere. What keeps her at the top and stays at the top is who she is as a person. She got publicly humiliated in front of everyone though she did not let it stop her. That November,  Swift won all four categories that she was nominated for at the CMA Awards. 

    Taylor's accomplishments don't stop there she received many solo rewards and in 2010 at the Grammy Awards she won four honors, "Best Country Album,  including Best Country Song, and the top prize of Album of the Year." 

Taylor also continues to kill Kanye with kindness as she won another VMA award in 2015 and gave him a shout-out and said how he had one of the greatest careers of all time. She then quickly touched on how she was a fan of Kanye and her brother and she actually purchased their first album on iTunes at the age of 12. 

Taylor has nevertheless shut Kanye down in the classiest way ever, essentially clearing up all the rumors of their feud of many years.
